Showroom & Design Studio

We focus on your individual needs and pay attention to every detail. Our showroom features trusted semi-custom brands alongside our own in-house custom cabinetry—giving you flexible options without compromising on quality. We’re here to help you create a space that’s functional, beautiful, and built to last.

We offer a full range of cabinetry and related products to fit different styles, budgets, and project needs. Our in-house Aurora Custom Cabinets are fully custom, handcrafted locally, and built to your exact specifications. In addition to cabinetry, we also build custom wood countertops, vanities, furniture pieces, and one-of-a-kind components to make your space truly unique.

Through our Showroom and Design Studio, we offer a curated selection of semi-custom cabinetry, including Crystal, Medallion, Design-Craft, and NatureKast outdoor cabinets. We also provide countertops, sinks, hardware, and organizational accessories, all with professional design guidance to help you pull everything together.

Start by meeting with one of our designers. We’ll listen to your ideas, help you shape the vision, and guide you toward a design that fits your space and style. Bring a few photos that reflect the look you’re after—whether it’s a certain color, layout, or wood tone. You don’t need to have it all figured out—just something to start the conversation.
To get an estimate, we’ll need accurate measurements of the space, including windows, doors, and any obstacles. For full custom work, bring inspiration photos to guide the design. For semi-custom or manufactured lines, selections can be made from our catalogs and showroom samples.
Yes, once our rough estimate fits your budget and you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule a visit to measure your space.
Yes. For semi-custom kitchens or smaller projects, we charge a $250 non-refundable field measurement fee. This covers a full on-site review by a qualified designer, who gathers precise dimensions and identifies any structural or layout obstacles that could impact the final design or installation. Accurate field measurements are essential to ensure everything fits and functions as intended.

For large-scale, fully custom projects, a design retainer is required once we’ve mutually determined that the project is a good fit. This reflects the added time, planning, and creative development involved in delivering a one-of-a-kind result.

We’re happy to provide an estimate based on your existing design. However, we take full responsibility only for designs created or verified by our team. We also often find ways to improve layout, functionality, or product selection—if you’re open to it, we’re glad to offer suggestions.

We do not release dimensioned drawings or detailed plans without a signed project agreement or design retainer in place. This protects the time, expertise, and resources we invest in each project and ensures we’re aligned before moving forward.

Once we have accurate dimensions and a clear idea of your goals, we’ll create a high-resolution 3D rendering that gives you a realistic view of your project. We’ll work with you to finalize the floor plan, cabinet choices, and any organizational inserts, rollout shelves, or specialty hardware you’d like to include. When the design is complete, we’ll provide a precise project cost. From there, we sign a contract and collect a deposit to begin placing your order.
Every project is unique, and pricing depends on many factors including layout, materials, construction methods, and product line. Because we offer a wide range of options from semi-custom to fully custom cabinetry, costs can vary significantly. You’ll receive a detailed written estimate specific to your project, so you know exactly what to expect with no surprises.
We offer installation services for the products we supply, including cabinetry, countertops, sinks, hardware, and accessories—but you’re not required to use our installers.

For on-site work like demolition, plumbing, electrical, or general construction, you’ll need a licensed contractor. We work closely with several trusted local contractors and can provide recommendations. We’ll also coordinate with your contractors or installers to help ensure a smooth and timely installation.

We don’t offer refacing services directly, but we work closely with trusted partners who specialize in this type of work. We can help coordinate new doors, drawer fronts, updated soft-close hardware, and painting. We also offer matched add-on cabinetry and specialty items to complement your existing space..
Each of our cabinetry lines offers a range of standard stain and paint finishes. Custom colors and color matching are available in the higher-end lines offered by our manufacturers, typically as a special-order upcharge.

For our in-house Aurora Custom Cabinets premium line, custom colors are included as standard and can be matched by our coating supplier or in-house to suit your preferences. While a 100% perfect match can’t be guaranteed, we get as close as possible and always provide a physical sample for your approval before finalizing the order.

Construction details vary depending on the product line. Our in-house Aurora Custom Cabinets are fully custom and built to your specifications, using premium materials and techniques—such as dovetail drawer boxes, soft-close doors, and solid wood construction throughout.

Our manufacturer lines also offer a range of construction options, which vary by brand and product level. We’ll walk you through the available specifications to make sure you’re choosing the right construction for your project and budget.

We don’t carry stock cabinetry. Everything we offer is made to order, allowing us to tailor each project to your exact needs.
Our offerings don’t compare directly to what you’ll find at big box stores. Big box stores typically offer mass-produced, entry-level to mid-grade semi-custom cabinets. Our focus is on higher-quality products, customizable features, and a level of design expertise you won’t find in a retail chain.

While our pricing may appear higher at first glance, it reflects the value of better materials, tailored construction, and true customization—including cabinet dimensions, construction methods, finish options, and wood species.

We always recommend comparing apples to apples. Most big box stores don’t offer the same flexibility, craftsmanship, or design detail that comes standard in our process.

Hand-Crafted Quality

We offer attention to detail and individual needs, and quality of craftsmanship only a custom shop can offer. Our cabinetry will add beauty and functionality to your home for generations.

You can meet with a designer who will listen attentively to your ideas and needs. We will help you create custom cabinetry that fits your style. Our best suggestion is to find photos of what you want your completed project to look like. What styles, colors, and types of wood do you want to incorporate? We don’t need all of the specifics but a photo is a great way to start. We can help you work through all the details. We suggest searching on line. Houzz, Kitchens.com and Pinterest are great places to start.
Dimensions of your space are crucial for pricing, and Inspiration photos help us understand your vision so we can put together a rough estimate. If you can measure your space as close to the nearest inch we can work with that.
Yes, if our rough estimate fits your budget and you want to move forward with your project we can come and measure your space.
Yes, if we come to your house and measure the space, we do require a non-refundable deposit. If you decide to follow through with the project, that deposit is then applied as a payment.

Measuring for your project is not a requirement, if you can provide us with adequate dimensions, we would be happy to build your items from them, as long as you sign off agreeing that you are confident in the dimensions you provide.

Absolutely! We may also make suggestions on things that could be changed or improved upon to make your space more functional.
When we have dimensions and idea details worked out, we can provide a 3D color rendering of what your project is going to look like. We will work with you to decide the preferred configuration of cabinets that fit in your space as well as any inserts, roll out shelves or special hardware you would like to incorporate into the functionality of your cabinets. When all of the fine details are agreed upon we will also be able to give you more precise cost for your project, if necessary. Once you agree to the details and pricing, we have you sign a contract and provide a deposit to begin the material ordering process and start construction of your project
There are so many variables that determine pricing. Each project is unique and as a custom cabinet manufacturer we can build anything you want. Before you commit to your project, we will provide you with a detailed written estimate so there’s no surprises.
That depends on what your project is and the timing. We don’t require you to pay us for installation but sometimes we can provide that option. We are a custom cabinet shop, not a general contracting company, we only handle the cabinet portion of your project. If there are any other details that need completion, tearout, construction, plumbing, electrical work…you will need a contractor to handle that. We will work directly with your installer and communicate our suggested best options for installation of our cabinetry to help the process go as smoothly as possible.
Sorry, we don’t repair existing cabinetry. We can however build you a new replacement.
We can use any color from any of the major paint companies. We can attempt to match existing colors, but it can be a difficult process because generally we don’t know what kind of finish products and tints were used. Although we cannot guarantee 100% perfect match, we will get colors as close as possible. We will provide a color sample for you to ensure it’s the correct color.
All of our custom cabinet boxes are made from 3/4″ pre-finished maple plywood. Our stained doors are made from solid wood and our painted cabinet door frames are made from maple and the center panels are made from MDF. We use MDF for our painted door panels because it does not expand and contract with changes in humidity, so no fear of cracked paint joints. All of our face frames are made from solid wood. Our dovetailed drawer boxes are made from maple and have 3/8″ bottoms for strength. We also offer an upgraded bamboo drawer box for a custom feature.
Yes, we build our upper cabinetry slightly deeper than “stock” cabinetry to ensure your dishes fit. Our standard upper cabinets are 13″ deep, which gives you 11 1/2″ of internal space from the back of the door to the back of the cabinet. If you need deeper cabinetry we can also accommodate that request.
No, we are a custom cabinet shop, everything is made to order.

The only exception is our charcuterie boards, oil and board butter and an occasional display in our showroom.

The simple answer is we don’t compare. Our cabinetry is a much higher quality in both materials and workmanship and therefore tends to be more expensive than “semi” custom cabinets that can be purchased through big box stores. Although at first glance our pricing is higher, our offerings are also greater. You pay a premium upcharge for painted and specialty finishes through those cabinet companies. Price out their inset cabinetry and you’ll see ours can actually be LESS expensive, while also getting a much better quality. Our preference and skill set comes from years of building Inset cabinetry with painted finishes so those things aren’t an “upcharge” to our pricing, they are our standard.

We like to suggest to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples when it comes to price comparisons with big box stores. Their employees generally don’t have the experience in design details, nor do they offer some of the complete custom options we can provide.
